BrightSign BSN.cloud Partner Application Deployment

If you are using BSN.cloud / BrightAuthor Connected, please simply select embed signage from the CMS Partner Application list:

BrightSign SD Card autorun.brs Deployment

For installing embed via SD card, here are the things you'll need to start:

  • A compatible BrightSign player

  • A blank SD Card

  • An ethernet cable connection to a live network

  • The embed signage autorun.brs file - available via our downloads page

Follow these steps to get your device set up with embed signage:

  1. Download the autorun.brs file

  2. Load the autorun.brs file onto the blank SD card (must be only file on SD)

  3. With the BrightSign player off, connect the BrightSign player to a live network via Ethernet cable

  4. Power on the BrightSign player

  5. Wait for the first BrightSign 'insert storage device' screen to appear

  6. Make a note of the IP address

  7. Insert the SD card (with the autorun.brs)

  8. Wait for it to install embed signage - this may take several minutes, please be patient.

  9. On a computer on the same network, open a browser (Chrome, Firefox etc) navigate to the IP address shown on the screen to finalise the setup (IP:8000)

  10. Login using the default credentials for the player which are:

    1. username: admin

    2. password: serial number of the BrightSign player

  11. Once logged in, you can alter the player settings and configuration including the player resolution output, any network details (static, wireless, DHCP etc) and then save > please patient as the player finalises the set up. The player will reboot during this phase.

  12. Once complete, you'll be presented with the six-digit registration code for you to register to your account.

If you have a network that requires additional settings in order to connect the device to the internet please follow this set up process:

  1. Insert the SD card into the BrightSign player

  2. Connect the BrightSign player to your network via Ethernet cable

  3. Power on the BrightSign player

  4. Follow the on screen instructions to get to the main BrightSign player setup page

  5. Set up the device as 'Stand Alone'

  6. Configure the network settings to enable a connection to the internet > save

  7. Turn off the player

  8. Unplug the SD card

  9. Load the autorun.brs file to the SD card

  10. Insert the SD card into the BrightSign Player

  11. Power on the BrightSign Player

  12. Wait for it to complete installation - this may take several minutes, please be patient. When it's completed you'll be presented with an embed signage 'finalise set up' page on the player.

  13. On a computer on the same network, open a browser (Chrome, Firefox etc) navigate to the IP address stated on the screen to finalise the setup (IP:8000)

  14. Login using the default username: [admin] and the default password: [the BrightSign players' serial number]

  15. Once logged in, you can alter the player settings and configuration including the player resolution output and then save > please patient as the player finalises the set up. The player may reboot during this phase.

  16. Once complete, you'll be presented with the six-digit registration code for you to register to your account.
