The bulk import feature on the devices page serves two purposes:
1) To bulk register new devices
2) To bulk update existing devices registered to an account
In this guide, we'll be showing you how to use this feature to bulk register devices to your account.
How to bulk register devices:
Navigate to the Devices page on your account then click the import button:
Here you'll see a pop up where you can upload your csv or excel file.
You will also see a link to 'device export' which will give you an export of the devices page on your account.
To upload and bulk register devices the CSV or Excel file that you upload can include the following columns:
Name (this is the name of the device you choose)
State (choose the device state, see this article for more information on states)
Registration code (the code presented on the screen of the device you wish to register)
Address (specify a location for the device)
Notes (add any notes to the device)
Here's an example of what the file should look like for upload:
Mapping uploaded data
Once you drag and drop the file into the import device data 'upload' area, you'll then be asked to map your data:
Note: The ID column is only required if you are updating data on existing devices - this ensures the data is mapped correctly to the device by its ID. For registering devices, this field is not required and can be ignored.
On the Map Data field options, choose the relevant columns from the uploaded spreadsheet to match the fields - example below:
Once mapped, click confirm and your device(s) will be registered - a notification will appear to confirm the device(s) have been registered successfully:

Click confirm and you'll be taken to your devices page where you'll now see the devices listed in your account.
