To use Series 5 BrightSign players and Series 4 BrightSign players with the 2.0.5+ app minimum firmware versions are required.

Updating the app version and firmware version for BrightSign players is easy.

Login to the CMS and visit the devices page - then on the right side of your BrightSign player you'll see action icons to update the app and firmware version (if available).

Simply, click the relevant icon to initiate the update.

App update via CMS to 2.0.5+:

Firmware updating - Series 5 - 9.0.120

Firmware updating - Series 4 - 8.5.47:

Updating can take several minutes and the player will reboot during this process.

We recommend you update the app version to the latest version first and then the firmware.
