How to enable BrightSign's Chromium version (BETA) via Registry

For Series 5 BrightSign devices on 9.0.168+ firmware, you can update the Chromium version (BETA) via a registry update. Here's how.

First, please ensure you have the latest embed signage BrightSign app installed (minimum version 2.0.9).

To enable the BETA Chromium version on Series 5 BrightSign firmware (minimum version 9.0.168), you will need to manually change the BrightSign player registry.

You need to enter the below command and submit.


To verify it's taken the update, browse the registry and search for HTML and ensure it's showing the widget_type as chromium 110.

Then make sure the player is rebooted.
