What is a page?

A page is a collection of zones that come together to create your content. You can create just one page within your layout or have multiple pages for different content. Each page can have as many zones as you would like, these zones then hold/ show your content items.

Page Settings

There are multiple settings that can be configured for each page, you edit some of these in the builder for that page. You can edit the background settings, select the resolution and the orientation of the page you are currently designing. (if selected when configuring the layout previously).

The grid can be used to help with the designing of your layout and positioning of your zones, if selected a grid split into 50px x 50px squares will be visible over your content whilst in the builder. You can also zoom in/ out of the page as well as hide the left & right toolbars with the next two options. (image below).

More detailed settings can be set in the overview of your pages, to get to this you need to click on the grid like button above the page name.

Here you will be able to configure additional settings as well as add, duplicate and delete pages. When pages are added or duplicated, the new page will go to the front of the queue meaning it will be shown first. You can re-arrange your pages by simply dragging and dropping on the three-tiered stack icon.

To configure settings for individual pages you select the cogs, to view/ edit a pages content you select the eye icon. If you want settings applied to multiple pages, you simply select the pages you want and set the settings required.

General Settings

The page name and the page timeout can be set in the general settings.

The timeout option is used when you have multiple pages, and allows you to set the length of time the page shows for. You then select an action that you want to happen after that time has elapsed.

A target is sometimes needed for the action, this is the item you want the action selected to act on. (action - 'show page', target - 'page name').

Conditional Play

You can schedule pages to show by adding conditions using conditional play. Pages can be scheduled to show depending on 'Time', 'Day', 'Dates' or 'Weather'. The settings (time, date and weather) are taken from your device. You could schedule pages for upcoming events or special offers, such as an ice cream offer that you only want to display when the weather is between 20 and 40 degrees celsius.

Background

You can add a background to your page, this can either be an image or a colour. If you want to add an image as your background, you click on the box below the word image and here you can either choose an image from your media library, that you have previously uploaded, or you can upload an image from your computer.

The 'Repeat' option is used if your image is smaller than your page, if this is the case the image will be repeated giving you a tiled effect. If the repeat option isn't selected your image will be stretched to fit the page. To add a colour you simply click on the box below the word colour and set the colour required using our colour picker.

Animation

An animation that is added to your page will be actioned when the page first loads such as when the layout first loads on the device or when moving from page to page within the layout. To add an animation, select the animation icon and choose from the drop down menu options, you can remove animations by selecting 'None'.

Interactions

Interactions will only work if your device has touch functionality. You can add interactions to your page by selecting the interactivity setting. Interactions such as 'tap' and 'swipe right' can be added to carry out actions such as 'Show next page' or 'Hide zone'. You simply click 'Add New' then select your interaction, action and target.
