Receive alerts and notifications for devices going offline, coming back online or dynamic data import failure

You can set up alerts and notifications, that can be sent to your email, to notify you when your device(s) have gone offline or if your dynamic data import fails. These are set up in the alerts section of your account settings.

Click 'New Alert' and fill out the information below to set up a new alert.

  • Name - Give your alert a name, for your reference

  • Type - Choose the type of alert (device offline, dynamic data import fails)

Device offline

  • Notify user when ... - Determine how long the device is offline for before the user is notified

  • On the following days - Choose which days the alert should notify you if the device is offline

  • Times devices are expected ... - If your device is set to be off during certain time periods, add these here and you will not receive any alerts. Leave blank if your device should be on at all times.

  • On the selected devices - Choose the devices you want to set this alert for

  • Users - Choose the users who should receive the notification

  • Email addresses - Specify email addresses to send the notification to (multiple can be added, comma separated)

  • Notification types - Select how the user(s) should be notified. CMS notification will show up in the notification area of your account, at the top of you screen. Email notification will send an email to the email address assigned to the user(s) selected.

Dynamic data import fails

  • Notify me when ... - Choose the source you want to set this alert for

  • Keep import running - Will continue to try to import the data source if failed

Keep Import Running - you should ensure this box is ticked if you wish the dynamic data import to continue should it ever fail.

  • Users - Choose the users who should receive the notification

  • Email addresses - Specify email addresses to send the notification to (multiple can be added, comma separated)

  • Notification types - Select how the user(s) should be notified. CMS notification will show up in the notification area of your account, at the top of you screen. Email notification will send an email to the email address assigned to the user(s) selected.
