Prerequisites
1. You have Microsoft Teams Rooms hardware and Teams Rooms Pro license(s) managed via Teams Rooms Pro Management portal
2. You have enabled Digital Signage on your Teams Rooms Pro Management portal.
3. You have an active embed signage RoomStream License with available connections on your account. If you do not, please speak with your supplier.
In Teams Rooms, you can run a RoomStream URL for signage when not in use for meetings, on multiple rooms or room groups at the tenant level or for individual rooms at a room level.
This guide shows you how to enable Digital Signage, add RoomStream as the signage source and then apply to rooms.
Set up RoomStream in Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal
Enable Digital Signage
Adding an external signage source
Click 'Add source'
Give the source a name you'll recognise, then click Next
Select the 'Custom' source and input the RoomStream URL. You can optionally click 'Set as default source for the tenant' at this point
Acknowledge the Terms
Review and finish
The source has been successfully added
Assign RoomStream URL to Teams Rooms
A) Multiple Rooms or Room Groups at the Tenant Level
select 'Assign to devices'
Select source: confirm the preselected source, click Next
Review preferences: review or modify signage settings as desired, select Next
Assign devices: search or select Rooms and/or Room groups where you'd like to assign your chosen source and settings, then select Next
Select schedule: choose when the configuration will be applied
review and finish > select Submit
B) Individual Rooms at a Room Level
Go to Rooms
Choose a specific room
Select Settings
Select Digital signage
Toggle ON Digital Signage
Modify signage settings as desired
Choose the embed signage RoomStream source, then Apply
Choose when the configuration will be applied
Submit
