When creating a channel you can add date and time rules to schedule different layouts to show on your device(s).

If you haven't created a channel, click here to find out how

First, we need to edit our channel. Go to the channels section of your account, by clicking 'Channels' from the left hand side. Then clicking the pencil icon to edit.

Adding a schedule allows you to show a layout at certain times on certain days. The scheduled layout will show at the specified days and times every week until the schedule has been removed.

To add a schedule, click 'Add Schedule' and fill out the following information:

  • Schedule Name - Give the schedule a name for your reference.

  • Start/ End Time - Set the times to show this layout between

  • On these days - Select the day(s) to show this layout on

  • Show layout - Select the layout you want to schedule

  • Screen on/off - Set whether the screen is on/ off during this period

All day schedule

Schedule a layout to play for an entire day by selecting the 'All day' option and then specifying the day(s).

Overnight schedule

Schedule a layout to play overnight by specifying the times, day(s) but making sure the 'Include next day if overnight schedule' is also selected. This option means we dont need to select the next day, but if this option is not selected the layout will only show up until midnight.

To remove a schedule, simply click the cross in the top right corner of the screen. We always recommend removing any schedule that is no longer in use, for general housekeeping.

The channel always needs to be saved and published, to an online device, for the schedules to take effect.

You can add as many schedules as you need allowing you to show a number of layouts on your device(s). If you have multiple schedules where the days and times overlap, the layout that is at the bottom of the list will show.

In our example below, the 'Layout Two' schedule will play straight through from the times specified even though we have 'Layout One' scheduled between those times as well. If the schedules were ordered the other way round, both layouts would show during their specified times.
(Layout Two 09:30 - 10:00, Layout One 10:00 - 11:00, Layout Two 11:00 - 12:00)

Once there is no layout scheduled, the default layout selected will show until the scheduled days and times are met again.
